Large vintage sterling silver+ parrot brooch/pin that has lapis and turquoise as the main stones with a coral eye and agate for the beak all outlined in silver threading. Brooch is 2 1/2" long, 1/2" wide, 1/8" thick and weighs 8.60 grams. In excellent, vintage condition with no major detriments. There are two small nicks out of the turquoise on the tail; I can't tell if this was a natural event or from use. Blends in with the striations and colors of the rest so not too noticeable. I have not cleaned it but tarnish isn't too heavy. Probably a Mexican piece but only marked 980. Has the trombone closure which is very secure. Very nice and well-made.
