This is a very unique, very clean Custom Bilt pipe that is in near mint condition. T are zero teeth marks, chips or cracks. I would guess that this pipe was only smoked 1 or two times. A pipe cleaner passed through cleanly and the interior of the bowl is nearly spotless and smooth. However, it does have a very faint smell of tobacco.This is a large pipe that is about 3/4 rusticated. Its shape is that of a squat bulldog on steroids. The smooth top of the bowl showcases a dense collection of fine birdseye grain. It is a hefty piece of brier.It measures 2.5 inches across the top of the bowl. The tobacco chamber is 7/8 in wide and about 1 1/4 in deep. Overall length is about 5 3/4.On the shank is "Custom Bilt" and on the opposite side of the shank is an outlined star. On the stem, on opposite sides, are two meddle dots.This pipe is a definite presence in any collection. Please e-mail me with your questions. ADDED DESCRIPTION:I added a picture of the "Custom-Bilt" logo and another of the grain on top of the bowl. The logo is hyphenated (which I believe makes it pretty old). Again, this pipe has only been smoked maybe 1 or two times max!! This is a very clean, masculine pipe. A great example of a classic Custom-Bilt.
