Full Set of 5 Rare 1976 US Encased Stamp Postage Seattle Coin Show Tokens: Navy, Army, Marines, Militia, and the Revolution This is my only set in stock. The singles have all sold. The owner has one other complete set but is not interested in selling that one, so this is it. (Please see my auction list for one othertype of these fascinating modern American genuine encased stamps, the 1966 Indiana Western Electric encased stamp.) This auction is for one complete set of the five encased stamp tokens from the Seattle Coin Show that was held May 14-16, 1976. It features 4 encased 1975 USA stamps (10 cents each) and one 1971 stamp (8 cents). The genuine American postage stamps are protected under clear acrylic covers and are in excellent condition. In addition to being genuine modern encased postage, these are also coin club tokens, US Bicentennial commemoratives, and encased stamp commemoratives. They were produced to advertise the coin convention and as homage to the older US encased postage made more than 100 years previously during the American Civil War. I do not know what the total mintage is on these interesting example of modern encased postage but based on how seldom they are offered for auction, they are definitely rare. The read more
