Description: This wonderful musical box plays with such sweet, rich tones. You can listen to the 8 finely orchestrated tunes over and over, while always finding another layer of harmony to delight. Made in Switzerland in the late 1800's, this wonderful instrument is in remarkably good condition! The original tunecard is in wonderful condition still under the lid. (Please see photo for all 8 AIRS listed) Offered for sale with NO RESERVE so bid early to avoid disappointment... The 4" cylinder plays on a slightly shorter comb of 41 teeth or notes and none are damaged. The pinning to the cylinder is very good. Overall, t he mechanism plays very well and is very clean! The wooden case is in good, original condition with signs of normal wear. It is trimmed with brass and has a brass inlay crest on top. For its age, it looks as though it were minimally used throughout the years and has been very well cared for and loved. This charming, smaller-sized, antique music box is ideal for the collector or as a stand alone purchase... THIS IS ONEST OF THE RICHEST SOUNDING MUSIC BOXES I HAVE PERSONALLY EVER HEARD!
