Lavish HUGE Red Roses Black Velvet Pillbox Hat ~'50s A '50s black velvet pillbox hat edged in enormous lipstick red silk chiffon roses & green cotton leaves! The label reads "Saks Fifth Avenue".It's about 14 1/2" in circumference with two hair combs inside (Please note, my model, Miriam, has a small head, about 20" in circumference~ please check your measurements with a cloth measuring tape to ensure proper fit) . It's in excellent/very good condition (refer to "vintage condition" chart below). The hat form & trims could use some reshaping from storage, very slight fraying of petals & leaves coming off wire stems a bit. These are age appropriate issues, only mentioned to be thorough. Remember, even the Mona Lisa has cracks... ~Vintage Condition Chart~ Mint : Perfect, pristine, no signs of wear. Near Mint : Like new, no flaws to report. Excellent : Has been worn, no flaws to report. Very Good : Noted minor flaws, easily repairable or already repaired, wearable as purchased.
