This is a lovely horse although it is in need of some basic TLC. The main body is made I believe from a resin over which it has a fitted black leather body section also going up the neck. Onto this black leather base is coloured leather applique images of nursery rhyme characters. The hair for the Maine and Tail is real horse hair and in perfect condition, the saddle is fine, however the bridle will need replacing but having enquired this is quite inexpensive to do. The rocking section on which the horse is mounted is also in excellent condition. I have plenty of pictures and can always take more for any interested parties and of course welcome viewings. I don't know who made this but I do know that the initials J.J. and '86 have been appliqued/stitched in with the design and that it was originally commissioned by the actress Rula Lenska for her daughter. She auctioned this for 'The Children's Cancer Charity' which is where we acquired it in approximately 1997. We have put this down as collection only, but depending on destination will look at other means if required. Please contact for any more details.
