# 3 EMBOSSING ROLL ONLY ONE EMBOSSING WHEEL THIS IS ONE (1) VINTAGE embossing roll Hand engraved roll # 3 The roll marked #3 is a brass roll with a SCROLLING LEAF design. The #3 roll is 11/16" wide which would work well for a 3/4" to 1" belt or strap. This roll is about 1 3/8" diameter and has a center bore of about 7/8" w/key slot THESE ROLLS ARE VINTAGE AND RANGE IN AGE FROM 50 to 80 YEARS OLD THEY ARE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE READY TO EMBOSS INTERESTING AND ATTRACTIVE DESIGNS IN LEATHER. THEY ARE MADE TO WORK IN A ROLLER PRESS OR SIMILAR SET UP. Dampen veg type leather and roll the leather under the roll wheel for a textured image. THE IMAGE OR DESIGN THAT IS ENGRAVED INTO THE BRASS WILL BE RAISED ON THE LEATHER These are one of a kind ... you can't find them on the market anywhere. THESE ARE PROFESSIONAL TOOLING USED IN A BELT MAKING FACTORY I believe these to have a value of between $100 - $200. If you could find an engraver to custom make one you would be looking at double that value. DO NOT BE CONFUSED, THIS IS FOR ONLY ONE ROLL, not the group !
