From my own personal collection I am pleased to offer an exceptional MINT- example of the iconic fourth studio album by LED ZEPPELIN simply titled “LED ZEPPELIN IV”, Catalogue Number K 50008. This is a RARE 1971 UK TRANSITIONAL STEREO PRESSING with DOUBLE STAMPED MATRIX NUMBERS on the GREEN & ORANGE ATLANTIC RECORD LABEL, with a superb MATT FINISH gatefold sleeve. Complete with the correct 1 st issue credits/lyric inner sleeve. [The Side Two record label has the “Misty Mountain Top” mis-credit which although not particularly rare is an unusual feature. The matrix numbers are double stamped as follows: Side One – 2401012## A//3 “PECKO DUCK” and K 50008 A . Side Two – 2401012 B//4 “PORKY” and K 50008 B. The grey soft card credits/lyric inner sleeve is the 1 st issue as it does not have the K 50008 catalogue number text printed on it]. The sleeve is in VG+ condition with only light wear and virtually no creasing. The front and back covers are unmarked apart from a bit of ringwear and surface rubbing. The opening gatefold spread is pristine. The unusually wide spine is square and solid. The top quality Atlantic record is in MINT- condition. It’s a nice mid-weight pressing which sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Both sides retain their “as new” shine. It is clear that the record has only received a few careful plays.
