This auction is for a size MEDIUM original crew T-Shirt made for Led Zeppelin’s famous show at San Francisco’s Kezar Stadium on June 2 nd 1973. According to the person who sold me the shirt in 1999, it was once owned by Alice Cooper although I have been unable to confirm this aspect of its provenance. The shirt features black, one colour printing on the front and was created specifically for the ’73 Kezar show. Please see the photos for details of the superb ‘blimp’ design; the less defined print near the collar reads “Bill Graham Presents”. It is in generally great condition for an item of clothing that is almost 40 years old. The short sleeves have evidently been removed at some point (an unfortunate but fashionable practice in the 80’s & 90’s!) but this does not detract from this amazing piece of Led Zeppelin history. There is a small pin hole on the front lower edge of the shirt which can be seen on the photograph (just right of center). I have only ever seen one other shirt of its type up for sale, on Shelley Kaye’s website (check it out; Shelley worked for the band from the start to the finish of their tenure and she has posted description of this shirt which was sold for $499.00).
