Leerdam Uranium Plates designed by Andries Dirk Copier Four uranium plates in an excellent condition.Here for auction I have four side plates, designed by renowned designer Andries Dirk Copier for Leerdam in the 1920s/30s.Andries Dirk Copier was Leerdams only full-time designer, producing some of the best known designs in modern Dutch glass. These four plates are each etched with Copiers mark, best seen in the UV pictures, Leerdam stopped using uranium at the end of the 30s I believe, so dates them to before the WW2. Each plate differs in thickness to the other, although diameters are about the same, most likely mould blown and turned, this results in similar diameters but the thickness of the glass may vary between plates.They are all in an excellent condition, no chips or cracks, have light signs of wear acquired through normal use, otherwise in wonderful shape. Each measures approx 18cm in diameter on 6cm base, 1.5cm tall and weigh 0.150kg each unpacked. Item Photos - free eBay hosting
