This sought-after card cover book by Andrew Moore - LEICESTERSHIRE'S STATIONS : An Historical Perspective - was published by Laurel House Publishing and the Author in 1998. The item measures approx. 19cms. by 26cms. high and contains 200 pages very well illustrated throughout text with numerous black and white photographs, each with a detailed caption - together with route maps for each section - and detailed Appendices.In Victorian and Edwardian days, the towns and villages of Leicestershire and Rutland were all well served by a variety of over 100 railway stations which had a style and character that ranged widely from some simple structures to some grand and functional designs.
