LEITZ Low Voltage Filament Lamps (6 volts 5 amps) for ORTHOLUX Illuminating System This offer is for TWO (2) original Leitz lamps, in original boxes, for ORTHOLUX built-in light source. The lamps are 6v 5A light bulbs. In Leitz brochure (List Micro No. 8800 / Engl. XI / 54/ DLW), the description is: " The source of light is a low voltage filament lamp (6 volts 5 amps) in a centring socket..." This brochure also has a listing for spare low voltage filament lamp (6 volts 5 amps), with the catalog identity LINID. Each of the TWO (2) lamps are marked on the metal base " Isl 6v5A LINID ". Each of the 2 boxes are marked on one end with a square stamp that says " LEITZ Spez. Lampe 6V 5A LINID Made in Germany " and a serial number 406 86. The other end of boxis marked " El. Pruf 2 ". Assumed to be New Old Stock (NOS). These lamps were stored in a laboratory that used an OTHOLUX system, and were part of an inventory of lamps that included six of these type. Lamp filaments are intact, bulb glass is uncracked and tight in metal ferrule; metal is tarnished but able to read the identification stamp. One lamp was tested and lights brightly. Boxes are cardboard and all flaps are intact, and boxes fit tight. One of boxes includes original filler tissue paper to protect lamps. Boxes are slightly stained with pin-head size dots.
