Lensatic Compass & Waterproof Compass Pouch ('45-dated) Lensatic Compass Description: Details: This is a lensatic compass of the type used by the U.S. Army in WWII. It comes with the issue type waterproofed compass pouch with 1910 wire hanger for attachment to the pistol or cartridge belt. The compass is in good condition and functional and is marked "Corps of Engineers" with the hand-marked date of field issue ("4-45"; see images below). The compass pouch is dark OD and has the waterproofing compound applied to the outside surfaces (see image below). This is a true WWII veteran and a great addition to a collection!
