This listing is for a Leo Meissner wood engraving from 1942, titled Fish Beach, Monhegan. The image is 8 1/2 x 11 in., with an M carved in the block, and it is signed, titled, and numbered by the artist (19/60). Meissner is known to have worked on Monhegan for decades starting in the 1920s. There is a short biography on the back with a provenance label from the Old Bergen Art Guild in Bayonne, New Jersey. It is under glass in a black frame (16 x 18 1/2 in.), which will be taped for protection during shipment, with a label from a gallery in Camden, Maine. It will be packed securely and shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
