BOOKPLATE FROM A LTD. EDITION SERIGRAPH "SAX MAN " BY LEROY NEIMAN 1973 Here Leroy Neiman seems to emphasize the saxophone, as he does not identify the musician. The musician is lost in the moment--Neiman usses hot colors, to probably get the viewer to "hear" the music. It shows Leroy Neiman's skill as an artist and as an portraitist, and again we are there. Neiman had that rarest of lives--doing what he loved to do, while being celebrated the world over.
