I purchased this player in Paris in 1974 and it has hardly ever been used-thus it is in beautiful, excellent condition! Only the handle has a little wear on the part that connects to the player, but the player itself is in immaculate condition!Lesa Mady 2 Portable Record Player Designed by G. Dee Goetzen and Produced in 1974 an Italian company called Lesa. Originally introduced in 1963. Molded from molded plastic in various colors(this particular model in bright red & white) and the quality is high standard, the plastic body is very thick and hard to break and the motor design is quite durable. Two speeds-33 RPM and 45 RPM, using a rubber jockey wheel and 2 size spindle direct drive. It uses 4 germanium transistors and one diode in the amplifier and a ceramic cartridge with a high independence output, Ceramic Cartridge Model C1( slides horizontally into the head socket)This mythical Lesa Mady 2 portable record player is battery operated with 6 C type 1.5 batteries so it can be carried around playing your favorite rock ' n' Roll 45 or 33 RPM 7 inch singles. It can also operate with a 9 Volt Din Power jack which can be plugged into the socket on the side of the Lesa 2 player **SEE PHOTO ** ( I do not have the Power Jack ). In Italian these portable record players were called "Mangiadischi "(record eater) because the slot for the records is like a mouth.Dimensions: 11 X 4 X 9 1/2 inches Weight: 4.4 Lbs.++++This player has great sound and even scratched records sound great due to the Permanent Magnet Dynamic (PDyan Loudspeaker (moving coil ). Because of the needle pressure design, this player plays records in every position, even turned upside down or while driving a car.Simply insert the record in the front load slot and when the record is finished playing, simply push the eject button!Condition: Fully functional and in beautiful almost new condition!
