Leslie A-125-RB "Tyfon" This is an original LESLIE Air Tyfon "A-125-RB" locomotive air horn. It is not the more common aluminum cast Tyfon. This is one of the earlier heavy designs and is made entirely of bronze ! The Leslie Co. Lyndhurst New Jersey builders tag has the following patent numbers on it: 1337162, 1411187, 1488837, 1614858. This horn is in excellent condition with a trace of original grey paint in spots. The back cap tabs do have some wear. This horn can be polished to a beautiful bronze finish or painted the color of your choice. It stands 8" tall and measures 20" from back cap to mouth of flared bell. Diameter of flared bell is 6 1/2". The base has a 1/2" NPT inlet fitting. Don't mistake this for some imitation train horn! This is a real locomotive horn from an actual locomotive! Leslie horns were used on many class 1 railroads and numerous shortline railroads. They were used on both yard and road engines. NO RESERVE ON THIS AUCTION!
