is the 420-page, very old leather-bound book "Lessons in Elocution: or a Selection of Pieces in Prose and Verse, for the Improvement of Young in Reading and Speaking" by William Scott. Also presented are elements of gesture with four elegant copper plates. The publisher is John Bioren of Philadelphia; the printing date is 1803. This old leather-bound book is in good condition for its age. The cover is quite worn, especially at the corners, but still well-attached. The pages are darkened; t is writing in ink on the front paste-down. The edge of one of the contents pages is creased and folded. T is writing in ink (beautiful!) and a date (1811) on the page facing the back paste-down. The page edges are all darkened and the bottom corner of most of the pages is abraded. But otherwise, the book is unmarked, generally clean and holding together very well.
