Contemporary marbled paper over boards crudely rebacked in leather-like fabricoid. Text in Dutch and mostly printed in two columns. Condition: Crudely rebacked, please see photos. Boards edgeworn and rubbed, front hinge cracked, rear hinge failed at page 414, lightly stained, thumbed & foxed, several leaves creased, but otherwise internally Very Good in a worn binding. Beautifully printed, the title page in red and black, on chain-laid paper, with rubricated capitals and occasional small woodcut illustrations. Taken from the works of the "most distinguished English theologians." Uncommon in institutional holdings.
