LARGE 1865 MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURINE FOR RESTORATION This is a large heavy Meissen Porcelain figural candlestick by Leuteritz circa 1863-1865. It bears the Meissen crossed swords mark with incised “F132” that confirms its date of manufacture and impressed number “143”. Very similar candlesticks are featured on page 157 of Robert E. Rontgen’s book of Meissen, 2nd edition and there is no question of authenticity. Nicely detailed with vibrant colors. This wonderful piece is missing the top candle cup and has loss to the tree limbs. The candle cup was fitted separately in manufacture. There is an ear missing from the lamb that lays by the ladies foot and her foremost shoe repaired with glue. There are chips to the leaves of the fruit in her apron and chips to the folds of her apron that hang over her arm. There are insignificant firing cracks in the base that have been there since its manufacture. Sold as is, please review description and study images. Well worth restoring. To a restorer with access to a candle holder this will be an easy, worthy fix. Size: Approximately 12.13" in Height Shipping: Shipping will be double boxed, padded and marked fragile. Because of the fragility and value of this item, FedEx and insurance highly recommended. USPS also available. AS IS - NO RETURNS THANKS FOR LOOKING. !
