This is just so absolutely GORGEOUS I can't tell you! It is a really WONDERFULLY DETAILED LARGE HAND PAINTED porcelain figurine of a BIG (LIFESIZE I think!) TOUCAN! The Toucan itself is just FABULOUS and so REALISTIC! I believe he is called a KEEL BILLED Toucan. This fabulous bird is from the rain forests of South America He is black with gray on his wings and a white area on his tail too. His bib which goes around his eyes is cream with an orangy color and the beak is green, yellow and an orangy color and lavendar tip. The BEAUTIFULLY DETAILED base has a HUGE 3 dimensional applied poppy flower with a bud in shades of red and 3 D leaves and butterfly and even a bug! T is also an orchid flower and some other flower too! Base is SO DETAILED with WONDERFUL COLORS of greens and cream and the flowers are LOVELY! The leaves are different colors of green and t is grass and rocks with TREMENDOUS detailing! The detail is just SUPERB! I bought this at an estate sale but it looks newer. It measures 13 1/2" tall and 11 1/4" long from beak to tail and 7 1/4" by 6 7/8" wide base. Excellent condition with no cracks, chips or scratches! The base has a green felt piece over it and it has a little hole in the middle, but who sees it? Absolutely FABULOUS accent for your home or WONDERFUL GIFT for a man or a woman!! Any bird collector will LOVE this
