Although Charles Dickens died in 1870 and wrote this book in 1849, it was not published until 1934. He had not written it to be published and it remained in the familly, coming to his son in 1917, who also did not want it published during his lifetime but saw no reason to withold it after his death. It was first published, in serial form, in 1934. This edition is also from 1934 and published by Associated Newspapers Ltd. The book itself is in good condition. The dust jacket, as can be seen in the picture, has darkened where it has been exposed to the light but is in good condition apart from that. The book with its dark maroon cover is in good condition. It measures 7" by 9.5" and has 128 pages. This is one of several items I am listing, if you bid on, and win, more than one item, please wait for invoice before paying, as I will combine the postage.
