I recently acquired a large lot of 1940's and 1950's Life Magazines. I am now beginning to list the 1954's. They were owned by a professor and kept safe. Remember these are nearly 60 years old so I will try to list any problems they may have. I will list any ads I think are relevant and show the pictures of the best ones or most collectible. Will also show some of the most dramatic Life Photographs that Life is known for. Life usually has two types of paper for there contents. One stays nice and white and the other is more newspaper like so its yellows with age. So these issues do have a few yellowed pages. If you have an questions feel free to e-mail me. Some have mailing labels on the front and some have the mailing address on the lower back cover. If you are looking for a specific article or picture please e-mail me and I will try to help you find it. This is the April 5,1954 Issue. Nice color cover for the next part of The World We Live In Series Part IX The Desert. Mailing label on the red edge. Contents Include: partial color L&M ad with sketch of Barbara Stanwyck; Smuggled German Cartoons; Clues in the Killing of a Noble Inca Child; nice full page picture of Mount El Plomo; Banshee Burns on Carrier; Triggers and Tension in a Texas Dukedom; Verdun Stand in Vietman Dienbienphu recalls 1916 Battle; Seagoing Picket Line; color read more
