One of the few great reference works on real photo postcards of the 1898-1945 era, this 246 page, 8 1/2 x 11 in. comb-bound volume illustrates over 400 of the finest of rppc at 100% or larger. Published in 1994, the views are taken directly from the auction archives of the Antique Paper Guild which specialized in presenting exceptional rppc in over 100 catalogs in the 1980's & 90's. Starting with a definitive introduction to the collectible, the work becomes a fluid, unbroken stream of 22 categories of images. Each image is extensively described for content, composition, detail and condition. The actual auction prices realized are included in 2 pages of cross-reference in the back of the work.
