YES I AM STARTING THIS ITEM AT 99 CENTS SO PLEASE BID EARLY AND BID OFTEN!!! This item I am offering for auction is a fantastic and very, very, very rare AL CAPP "LIL ABNER" original art daily from 1937, the third year of the strip. This is the ORIGINAL PEN AND INK ARTWORK for the May 13, 1937 cartoon that ran in the newspapers that day. I have looked on ebay the last few months and have seen quite a few Abner dailies but none from the 30's. They are very tough to find from this time period and this one would be a great addition to any collection. This original work of art features Abner in all 5 frames. I have not seen another Abner daily in which he appears five times. The artwork is superb, especially Abner, Granny, and the trains in the very first panel. This very rare work of art measures 6.5 x 23, is in fantastic condition, and is signed by Capp in the last panel . I took the pictures with a regular camera-I am sure it goes without saying the actual item is ten times nicer in person. This has been part of my personal collection for more than 20 years and I hope it will find a good home. Shipping is $15 for this item and it will be mailed with signature confirmation.
