Offering a very rare cabinet card photo of the historic Wagnerian soprano LILLI LEHMANN .She was photographed by the Falk Studio in New York in the role of Brunhilde in " Die Walkure " ..A role for which she became most famous .......It measures the standard 4 1/4" x 6 1/2".....It is in very good condition, with corners that are very slightly bumped.A previous owner has written the artist's name on the reverse in ink and the date 1889 ( when she was singing at the Metropolitan Opera House).... This week I 'm continuing to list a number of rare photos of important celebrities from an estate auction of a deceased actor who amassed a great collection over a lifetime.Many are more than fifty years old...
