Excellent condition, limited edition Star Trek The Next Generation Phaser Laser Pointer, completed with crushed maroon velvet presentation case, original cardboard sleeve and instructions. Sound and laser pointer both fully working - you just need to add a 9V battery. Numbered 9226.From my research, it is a replica of the Type II Hand Phaser (also called "Cobra Head") as used on The Next Generation, DS9 and Voyager and is extremely well detailed. In the Phaser is installed a powerful laser pointer. In addition, the Phaser has a (pretty loud) sound-function. Using the two gold-colored buttons you can set whether the Phaser fires with or without sound. The large silver button is the trigger. Power is supplied via a standard 9 volt battery, which is housed in the handle. The Phaser has a firm rubber hand grip and cast metal parts for authentic size and feel, and is worthy of any starship or armchair captain.Manufactured in 1996 by the U.S. manufacturer IPI in a strictly limited numbers, this Type II Hand Phaser is a particularly rare and exclusive collector's item.
