Offered for sale is a very well done 10" hand painted Limoges plate. I listed this item even though it has a small repairable chip on the rear. Why?? First of all, it is exceptionally well done ..lots of fine detail is apparent. Secondly, The reverse stamp indicating 'Hand Painted China L.W.Borath Co.' makes me wonder if it was produced by one of the minor companies that worked for and supplied Pickard. Thirdly, its a good subject and not the typical "dog portrait" one finds. There are no holes in the back so it wasn't intended to be a charger.
