This magnificent Limoges box is a teachers blackboard complete with a detachable black teachers case with a removable notepad inside. This masterpiece of a limoges box stands 6 1/2" high and is inscribed with the sentence "classe d' orthography et de mathematique" which loosely translates into the study of mathematics. The blackboard itself measures 3" high by 3" wide and stands on antique brass legs that may need to be adjusted as they will ship flat to the piece for safety. The board also has a brass hook for the case itself which can be displayed either beside or hung onto the board. The case measures approx 2" long and 1 1/4" high, inside it is a delicate painting of teachers pencils and a removable note pad with extraordinary details including hand painted letters (ABC) and math problems. This is really a one of a kind piece !! It is unique and special in so many ways we were very excited to be able to offer you this one especially at this great low price !!
