Recently I found some lovely "treasures" at several local estate sales. Up for this auction are 2 gorgeous vintage Limoges serving bowls. The double bowl server has a large handle. It is very ample in size - 9" long, 7 1/8" wide for each bowl and 1 5/8" tall per bowl. The main background is a pink porcelain with a white window of lovely spring flowers at the bottom of each bowl. The large wide handle is 2" high and in a semi-heart pattern. Everything is decorated lavishly with 14 K gold designs. The gold rims are scalloped in an irregular pattern. The underside base is white with a dark green Limoges France mark. The 2nd bowl features colorful roses on an ivory white background. It is a deep square dish which measures 6" square and 2" deep. It has the green Limoges France mark on the bottom. These large bowls are ideal for serving nuts, hors d'oeuvres or candy items. Both appear to be hardly-used with no chips, cracks or crazing - excellent condition. They would proudly grace any table in a variety of situations and are a great addition to any floral Limoges collection. They comes from a smoke-free home.
