You are bidding on a lovely Limoges dish. It is an oval shape, and the edges are kind of rolled over in a wavy effect. The inside is decorated with a lovely floral tree pattern with a perching bird. The center of each flower has a raised white "bead", and there are also raised accents on the bird also. The handle and rim of the bowl are gold. There is some wearing to the gold. The dish measures 1 1/2" tall, 7 1/2" long and 6" wide. It is double marked on the bottom. One mark is Limoges above France, with a banner or ribbon between them, in green. The other mark is in gold, and reads Murmac "band enameled". I couldn't find any info on the mark. It is a lovely piece, and would be great serving nuts or candy, etc. There are no chips, nicks, cracks or scratches that I can see. This came from an enormous estate auction, with many oter amazing items. I presume that it had been used.
