Here you have the Limpander LE33 Limiter. This is one of two I have up for sale. Its the top one in the photos. These things are quite unique, the signal going through 7 triode tube sections and 3 transformers before it exits sounding much bigger than when it entered. One mod this one got is a true line input transformer so that standard line signals can be passed without the excessive gain that stock units have, and to avoid the use of a resistive pad on the input. I restored everything to original schematic specs. All signal caps have been replaced with orange drop capacitors. The power supply filters were in very good shape so they were left as is.Using it as a line stage have the benefit of harmonic richness, again, due to 7 triode tube sections and 3 transformers. It still has enough gain to preamp a mic with compression. An output level control allows a better interface to DAW or following stages of processing.Line signals can be amplified with a little compression and as you go up around 1:00 it starts to pleasantly crunch. Above 2:00 or so it starts to explode.(again this is for line signals) The output control might not need much more than 9:00 to 12:00 setting. Again, its a hot unit.I have gone through and selected tubes, cleaned sockets, and replace the input level. The output attenuator is new also. The front panels have read more
