Your bidding on one very good-excellent tin friction toy from the late 1950's-early 1960's that was made by Line Mar Toys in Japan. This superb looking and scarce "NAVY 3rd Amphibious Force" duck type truck vehicle is about 8-1/2" long and about 2-1/2" wide and sits about 3" high. It is marked with the "Line Mar Toy Logo" and "Japan" on the black metal bottom at the rear of the toy (see the 2nd & last photo). This vehicle is all original, there is no box with this toy. It has a friction motor that powers the front wheels, the friction motor runs very strongly. The paint is all-original and in very good-excellent condition. There is a couple very light scrape marks along the sides but overall the paint condition is really in very good-excellent condition . The four rubber tires and black bottom metal all look excellent. The chromed (Tin) hubcaps are solid but show a trace of rust & discoloration from age. All the numbers (638698) and lettering are in excellent condition. This toy is in overall very lightly played with condition. NOTE: I'm not 100% sure but the toy looks like it is missing the rear tailgate on the back of the truck bed (see the 6th & 9th photo's) because there are a couple of holes in the side rails, so I'm assuming this is the case....but this is just my guess! I don't really know if the toy ever had a tailgate? read more
