Diantique is proud to offer this beautiful Linsey Woolsey blanket dated 1863. The size is 70" x 66". It appears to have been made in two 70" x 33" sections put together in the middle. Someone has done a very poor job with a sewing machine attempting to restitch the two pieces together. It was also hemmed at the top and bottom. I think a kindergartener could have done a better job. I do think the right person could restore this lovely Civil War period blanket to a much better condition. The date "1863" has been woven into the blanket in the bottom corner. The colors are navy, gold and pink wool woven with linen. The navy and gold threads are in good condition. The most wear is to the pink. The edges of the blanket have some fraying. I have provided a picture showing the worst of the damage.
