Lionel # 1517W Texas Freight Set w/ 2245 AB 6464-225 ++ is a great set of Lionel postwar trains. This is the "O27" Texas Special Freight Set No. 1517W from 1954. This Set includes the No. 2245 Texas Special F-3 AB Diesels with Magnetraction and Horn, the No. 6464-225 Southern Pacific Box Car, the No. 6462-25 Green NYC Gondola, the No. 6561 Diecast Flat Car with Cable Reels, the No. 6427 Lionel Lines N5C Caboose. Also includes all individual boxes and the Set Box. All that is pictured .We believe that the engines are generally in excellent plus condition, very clean and glossy red, but both have some minor rub marks, and a few scratches, as pictured. The powered-unit has some rubs on one side, w it loos as if it went off track. All portholes present. The Cars are in like new condition, very clean. Virtually unrun. The interior boxes are in great shape. The A Unit box insert looks as if it is a reproduction. The B Unit Box has some tape on an inside flap. Both have original Lionel paper. The freight boxes are very nice. Only one interior flap on the 6464-225 box has tape. All the rest are great. The original set box is also in great shape.This is one for the collection.
