This is a Lionel 17026 Delaware and Hudson 50 Ton Offset 2-Bay Hopper from 2004. Introduced in the late 1920Æs, the rugged, 50-ton twin hopper proved an invaluable railroad workhorse. In the tradition of other Lionel Standard O rolling stock, such as the PS-5 gondolas, these offset hoppers include an accurate, scale-level of detail. Each car features die-cast metal construction with separately applied metal parts. The Lionel Offset Hoppers are available in four new road names for 2004. Features inlcude scale level of detail, scale-sized, die-cast metal sprung trucks and operating couplers, separately applied details, a hidden uncoupling tab, a die-cast metal frame and body, a removable single-piece coal load and opening bottom hatches.
