LIONEL ELECTRIC TRAINS CANADIAN PACIFIC (CP RAIL) SD-40 LIONEL # 6-18203 Up for auction is a 1990 Lionel #18203 CP RAIL - SD-40. This locomotive is used, but in decent, condition. As you can see in the photos, this locomotive has decent paint with some minor scuffing, but nothing too major.. The printing on the sides is original and crisp. The trucks, pivot well, and the wheels roll freely. I realize that the number on this unit depicts a powered locomotive, but this one has a non-powered, Dummy chassis under it. The windows look to have red masking tape on the inside, so that this looks more like a 'B' unit than a lead unit. I'm sure that it is easily removable. This unit has it's original box, but I will make sure it is wrapped in foam, and thick cardboard for it's journey to the winning bidder ! You are bidding on exactly what is pictured, and that's what will be shipped to the winning bidder. This item came out of a estate collection that I purchased recently. Its original owner had been collecting 'O' scale trains for over 50 years. I knew him very well and he only collected original pieces and had no time for fakes or knockoffs. He has passed on and now his collection is being sold off. Mark me as a favorite seller as there will be a lot of 'O' scale listed and sold. This is a super nice Lionel piece, that would make a great addition to anyLionel collection! My knowledge is limited on all of this vintage Lionel product. I am not a Lionel Expert. I have researched the items as best as I could, and am listing them as is, in the condition that you see in the photos. The pieces are as they came out of the storage containers, most of them wrapped in newspaper from the early 1980's - My description is based on what I am looking at in front of me, and what I have found out about the original piece when it was Manufactured. I am not the original owner and I don't have any knowledge as to what has happened to each item from it's original sale date - to this point in time.
