This Auction is for the very popular Lionel 3662 Operating Milk Car mfg. between 1964-66. The 3662 Reefer is a very heavy Operating car that features an all metal steel chassis, with milk can chute, metal door guides and hand wheel. Body is very clean with sharp graphics and lettering...t are no body cracks, chips or gouges. The operating mechanisms, magnet, plunger are in perfectly clean, rust-free condition. The "little man" still has its original cream white color...even the flesh colored paint on his face! The Milk Car was one of Lionel's most reliable Operating units and this car is no exception. I realized the earlier issue 1955-1960s magnetic Milk Cans were used in some of these photos before reading these non-magnetic cans were the correct ones to come with this later and more rare 1964-66 version vintage car.
