Got a diesel engine that needs a tranny overhaul? Axle or gear shaft bent? Spur gear worn? Pinion gear wobbles or is missing? Bushings cracked? Wheels chipped? Here is your solution. This auction is for an original Lionel Postwar GP-7 diesel basic power truck (transmission, original part 2328-187) in very good condition. It is complete; transmission housing, worm drive gear, pinion gears, nylon bushings, axles, and wheels. It will fit any of the postwar GP-7 or GP-9 diesel road switchers and the 400 series Budd cars. The transmission has been lightly cleaned and tested and works great, very smooth. And of course Lionel's famous Magne-Traction is strong on both axles; this power section will lift 3 pieces of O-27 track! There are some track rubs on bottom of case yet the case itself is nice and black; trace cosmetic corrosion and some wear on wheels. This power truck will fit your transmission needs nicely.
