This is a Lionel #2046W Lionel Lines Operating Whistle Tender from 1950-53. This is the standard whistle tender from the postwar era for the better O Gauge steam locomotives and matches the 736, 681, 682, 665, and 2046 steam locomotives, among others. This tender features die-cast metal trucks, a die-cast metal operating knuckle coupler, metal wheels and axles. Upon testing it the whistle works well. This is a clean unit with some marring and scratches on the sides (see pictures). Normal play wear showing under the carriage under the trucks. All the steps are there and the are no chips or cracks.
