The Lionel Missile Launching Platform No. 443 would rotate and raise and lower the trajectory of the missile that it fired. Came with a No. 943 exploding ammo dump.It has a TAN plastic base and quonset hut, BLACK missile cradle, BLUE missile launcher, BLUE , WHITE , and RED missile, and a YELLOW microwave antenna on the roof of the hut.Catalogued from 1960 to 1962, there are no known variations. The Lionel Ammunition Dump No. 943 would explode when struck with an IRBM (Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile) that was launched from the No. 443 , No. 470 Missle Launching Platform , or No. 6650 IRBM Missile Launcher Flat Car . This was caused by a spring mechanism located in the interior of the ammo dump. It was mounted on a GRAY metal base with four plastic pieces that formed the dump.Produced from 1959 until 1961, there are no known variations. Dimensions: 3" long, 5" wide, and 4" high.
