Up for bidding is an Original Poswar Lionel 53 Rio Grande Snow Plow. Manufactured by Lionel in 1957-60, this is one well known power unit because of a spelling error in the road name. This is the common version with the backwards "a". The unit was cleaned and lubricated to run F-N-R on our test track. This Rio Grand is complete with all original parts. The cab is nice. The handrails are complete and unbroken, they show some paint loss(see pics). There is some maring on the cab yellow *see pics). The all important window struts are all original, all present with the usual crack in the left side window strut, it is tight and not hard at all on the eyes(see pic). The coupler tested A-okay and the wheels show very light use. This original Snowplow would make a great additon to your collection. Good luck bidding. Sold to the highest bidder with no reserve!
