Lionel 613 Union Pacific NW-2 Switcher Engine with a BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL BOX. Produced in 1958 ONLY, this is the RAREST of the NW-2 series. This is one of the first run of engines. PLEASE look closely at the original box which is in GREAT shape. Note that the box is labeled 621 X. This indicates that Lionel was using up the last of the 621 boxes and they stamped an X next to the model number to indicate that was not a 621. The engine coloring (grey, yellow and red) are above average. There are paint nicks and wear spots on this engine from normal playwear. There is a small blemish on one side of the engine by the UN in Union Pacific. This is a paint chip and the heat stamp red lettering is fine. The original bell is present and firmly on the unit. In the front of the engine there is the normal front screw hole crack mark. I have taken a picture to show this. BUT, the 613 in the front of the engine has no fading and crisp. The jewel for the back up light is present The original box is in GREAT shape. I feel that the box coloring is above average and the printing is crisp. Both end flaps are present and the printing is clear. The X next to the 621 is a bit faded but noticeable as in the photos. One of the packing flaps is ripped but present.
