This is a Lionel 623 Santa Fe diesel switcher locomotive fromthe early 1950s. This was actually a full scale accurate model of the GM NW2 diesel. This was one of the best quality made and running locomotives Lionel ever made! Very nicely detailed. This one has a few scratches on the cab and some worn spots throughout. The front right head light is missing but the rest seems to be in tack. This Transformer came from the estate of my father-in-law who passed away recently at age 88. He worked for the railroad for 43 years and collected various train memorabilia which we will be listing in the future. His trains and transformers were fully functional when he wrapped them in newspapers and put them away in 1993.
