Tom's Modern Era Lionel Tom Marchesani TCA #88-27749, LCCA #16000 This Ontario Northland SD-18, powered and dummy pair of diesels was manufactured by Lionel in 1981. Both units feature die-cast, six-wheel trucks, with metal rails and a stamped metal chassis. The powered unit features a powerful Pullmor motor with traction tires and interior lighting. The multi-colored prototypical Ontario Northland graphics have remained very popular over the past 30 years making these units very desirable, while at the same time being hard to find. Both the powered and the dummy units are in "factory fresh" condition, they have never been on the tracks or displayed. The wheels and rollers a pristine. There are no "screw cracks", but there is a very small box rub on the tail end of the dummy (see photo). The units have been tested and everything is "A-OK" (e-unit, lights, horn in dummy, etc.) The pair was issued in matching white with white Lionel windowed boxes. Those boxes come with the pair and are in Like New condition. with scuffs and nicks commensurate with age, being the only flaws. The original paperwork is also included.
