Here we have a Lionel Jersey Central Blue Comet loco and tender numbered 8801. The loco is in running condition but the sound board in the tender has not worked for many years. Tin base on tender has a bit of surface rust at the edges, top is very good. Loco has a little surface rust on the bogie undersides and a little on the wheels, body has a few small bits of paint missing and finish is not perfect. This loco has been pulling 10+ coaches on a regular basis and motor pulls fine. These are fairly unbreakable motors. The Blue Comet is one of Lionels flagship products and this edition was only produced for a short time and therefore has become very rare. Please remember this item is 36 years old so wear and condition will reflect this. Please study photos as they form part of the description. !!!
