LIONEL #9836 OLD GRAND-DAD BILLBOARD REEFER Offered for sale is a Lionel #9836 Old Grand-Dad Billboard Reefer which was only produced in 1983 and 1984 as part of the Favorite Spirits Reefer Series. It is given a rarity rating of "3" in the TM Guide, and is generally considered to be one of the more popular and harder reefers to locate in the Favorite Spirits Series. I t is in Like New condition: complete and all original, with brilliant colors and crisp markings, and it shows only the slightest signs of usage. It has a brilliant gold roof and car ends, an orange body and doors, perfect gold and brown lettering, and clean, crisp Old Grand-Dad logos and markings. This beautiful Old Grand-Dad Billboard Reefer comes with a nice, solid, original Lionel box that has an old store sticker on one endflap.
