This Listing is for a Lionel Automatic Gateman -- No. 45N -- for O gauge -- the base is 5.75" x 7" -- height at the top of the post is 6.75" The main structure is painted steel, with a die cast crossing bar. The man with lantern appears to be plastic. This is in very good condition in it's original box. There is no sign of rust on the painted parts, but a tiny amount on the bare rivet. There are a couple of nicks midway on the crossing post, as well as some rusting on the post base. The door opens fine, but I have no way to test the light bulb. One of nuts for the electrical connection is missing, otherwise I think it is complete as shown in the pictures. The box is in fair condition. I am selling this for the original owner, who received it in the late 1940's.
