Lionel Brown State set. The real deal!!! 408E Description: Sadly the set met with a lamp as a result of my in laws recent visit!!! Two cars were dented the damage is seen in the last two pictures. It probably could be mostly pushed out. Tfore the price just went down. A third car has a tiny ding which i believe was already t Nothing of merit. I probably should restore the two damaged roofs, but it just makes me sick that this happened!!! The damage has been noted and the set is sold absolutely as is. Nothing is hidden in the pictures. A very nicely restored set which is an original Lionel product and is all correct for 1930. It is NOT put together! Alright, this IS the real one. The biggest ever made by Lionel. Made in the Lionel Irvington NJ factory in 1930. The set consists of a 408E locomotive, 412 413 414 and 416 pullmans. This set was restored for the collector many years ago professionally. I believe it was restored in the 60's by one of the old school "masters" like Jimmy Cohen. The work is a masterpiece. Colors are spot on and have patina. Brass has patina. Looks original but is just "too" nice. Everything is correct for the 1930 set. Loco has 2 bild a loco motors with 2 position pendulum reverse. It runs well. Cars have cast journals and plain ends.
