LIONEL "EMPTY BOX" WINDOWED 1966 END FLAPS MARKED 212T - This box has been stored for several decades and is in fairly good condition except that on the bottom right side there is a tear or dent in the box like something sharp hit it. There is a dent on the top, left corner. There is also markings on each flap that states 212T. The 212T would house the USMC Diesel Dummy A Unit that is from 1958 but Lionel did not make a window box until 1966. So this box was probably tampered with years ago before we got it. Several eBayr's have mentioned that this box was made for the 212 Santa Fe Alco in 1964-1966 as that is when Lionel started making the window box. That's fine but this box is stamped 212T and the size of the stamp is not something the average person would have at home, I don't think. This is confusing but the last box in our possession.
